We are...

Mad Autonomy & Dignity (MAD) Collective

A grassroots, survivor-led collective working toward a world where psychiatric survivors, mad folks, and people with lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence, or extreme states have absolute autonomy and power over their own lives. Through advocacy, education, and peer solidarity, we challenge sanism and institutional abuse across Vermont, while building powerful networks of safety, healing, self-expression, and support for individuals, families, and loved ones.Below is our first Zine, distributed at the 10th Anniversary of Vermont Mad Pride on July 11, 2026.
